Hello,

It may be Osteoarthritis of the knee due to aggravating factors like obesity, diabetes.

In this situation the extend of knee damage as to be assessed with X ray/MRI scan.
My advice would be to consult an Orthopedician and get it evaluated.
Gradual and steady weight loss, avoid stress to the knee joint.
