Have Pain In Upper Chest And Minor Flu Symptoms. Solution?

I have a pain in my upper chest area - maybe the breast area. I feel it when I swallow or when I turn my whole body. When I sleep on the right side, I am OK - but it is pronounced when I sleep on the left side. I am not coughing at all and have minor flu symptoms . I am not sure if its coming from the windpipe or oesophagus? I am a male aged 45.

Hi Farai.chesa,

Please get a chest x-ray and CBC,ESR to see if anything is there . Start some antacids and muscle relaxants in the mean time.

Dr Indu Bubna

Pulmonologist
