i have a recurrent tinea infection that usually starts around my abdomen every year since 2011. this time round it has recurred and has spread to my inner thighs and back. i started on fluconazole treatment and they seem to be clearing although ive noticed a few spots on my fore arms is this normal during treatment. thanks
Hi flucanozol can cure the fungal infection but the recurrences are more it.the best drug to cure and prevent recurrences is terbinafine 250mg od for 14 days along with topical terbinafiine.u can also use canditral 100mg once daily for 14 days.use candid dusting powder daily to decrease recurrences.the spots ore no relation.only tinea spots changes into postinflammatory spots
