Have Recurring Folliculitis And Pilar Cyst In Crown Area Of Scalp. Treatment?

I have what I believe is chronic sebaceous folliculitis in the crown area of my scalp and a related pilar cyst in the same area. What is the best method of treating the recurring folliculitis? I am considering asking my family physician to either drain or remove the cyst which is flat and about the size of a dime. Thank you!
