Have Recurring Breast Abscess. Is This A Serious Condition?
I had a breat abscess and my doctor drained it a couple a months ago. However it keeps reoccuring in the same area again and again. It s around my right nipple . I squeeze the pus out every time I feel like a lump is occurring. I drain the lump every 3-4 days. I haven t seen my doctor after I drained my abscess for the first time. I have been draining the pus myself for 3-4 months now. I am 25 years old and I have never been pregnant. I would just like to know if this condition is serious?
Recurrent breast abscess can lead to serious complications if the infection spreads to the deeper plains of the breast.
You may have to be laced on suitable antibiotics to which the offending organism is sensitive for.The pus which is drained from the abscess has to be sent for culture sensitivity test to know the specific antibiotics which cures the infection well.
Wish you good health.
