Have Redness In Eye And Sore Neck. No Medication Till Now. What Could This Be And Is Antibiotics Needed?

Hello Dr.

The white outer part of my right eye is red and my right temple is tender since Friday. Today, the right side of my neck is also sore. 2 days ago I woke up sweating but did not sweat while sleeping last night. I did have minor chills throughout the day yesterday, but not today. I wear contacts and have experienced the identical redness and temple tenderness before and it resolved on its own, but don't recall having any additional symptoms like I do this time. What could this be and do I need antibiotics?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. forum.
Redness eye with pain in temple bone.
Mils chills,
sweating ( may be after mild fever).

May be due to,
Allergy,
Infection,
After allergy there is added infection which develops sinus infection and causes Sinusitis in temple and adjoining bone below eye.
Antihistamine will cure ,if not ,than consult an E N T specialist.
He will solve your problem.
Good luck.
