Have Severe Headaches. No Use Of Medications. What Is The Other Treatment That Can Be Followed?

Hello
My father is 80yrs old. For 5 months now he is suffering daily with very severe rebound and cervical ogenic headaches. The pain has gotten so bad that he is not able to get out of bed or take any medication what so ever. Any medication he tries to take worsens the pain. There is no specialist that has been able to help him this far. When the pain gets really bad he is hospitalized and the hospital intravenous feed him morphine.
Now, even this morphine does not help. Please advise if you have any other treatment that will him. His pain is daily throughout the day. Even food seems to be a problem and trigger off the pain.

Thanks

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
To help your father, one needs to find out the underlying cause of his headache.
If a brain MRI has not been done, please get it done.
If the brain scan is normal, it could be migraine with chronic daily headaches. Botox injections would be helpful in this situation.
Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
