Have Short Episodes Of Heart Feeling Stopped, Compressed. Struggle To Breath. Symptoms Of Heart Failure?

Hi. I am a 15 year old female. Throughout the course of my life, I have had short episode in which I feel my heart somewhat stop, and compress, and I struggle to breathe for the next minute. These episodes last about 3 to 5 seconds, and I feel just fine after that. This has happened maybe about 20 times in my life (for what I can remember, maybe starting since I was 8) , and I walk around just fine. I also tend to get dizzy when I get up, maybe about once a month or so. What is this? Is it an early part of heart disease, or could this be an early symptom of heart failure? Please help!

hi welcome to Health care magic forum. You are 15 years old , you had spells of heart stopping, compressed, struggle breathing of short spells. You had it only 20 times in a span of 7 years.
In this age getting such symptoms suggest of anaemia, gastric hyperacidity, or psychological effect. Of course cardiac involve ment also will be like this in some cases but it is continupous, now after reading this you may feel that you are getting it continuously now. it is a syndrome by reading the symptoms.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment, in this way you can have diagnosis, and exclude the cardiac involvement.
