Have Sjogren's Syndrome And My White Count Dropped From 2.7 To 2.5. Suggestions?

I have sjogren's syndrome and my white count dropped from 2.7 to 2.5 over the past few months.
my rheumatologist has said that sjogren's causes the drop in the white count and that a short
course of prednisone (for sixty days) should raise it. i also have ITP but my platelets are currently
ok. I have never had to be treated for the ITP. I was wondering if i should follow up with a
hematologist ?.

Thank you

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You can consider initiating the treatment suggested by your rheumatologist.

After the course is completed in 60 days, your full blood count will be repeated to see if there is any change.

If the repeat does not show any change then you can consider a hematologist at that time.

I hope the helps
