Have Squamous Cell Carcinoma Of Cervix. Should I Continue With An Intimate Relationship?

Hi, I have just been told that I have had a positive result for Squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix. I am being referred to a Gynacologist for further examination including a colposcopy. However I was also told that sometimes the Smear tests can " throw" a False Positive result. I have just started an intimate relationship and am concerned about whether I should continue with intimacy.
I would appreciate your opinion on this and also how common the False Positive results are.
Thank you
Helen

Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

You can have inmate relationship with your partner.
Because cancer does spread from person to person.

But it may increase the chance of bleeding and resulting in spill of cancerous cells in blood.
This finally end up in Metastasis to other organs and spread of cancer.

Thus i advise you to think wisely before having inmate relation ship.

Hope this helps.
Please reply for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Regards,
Dr.Manjeth kumar.
