Have Swollen Eyelid And Bruised. Infection?

Hi, male 25. Iv'e noticed the past 2 days i have a slight swollen (banding if you like) across my upper eyelid. It also feels slightly bruised on the outside of the eye.My eye itself is fine. Iv'e noticed that it turned up the same time as my throat starting playing up. I'm guessing swollen glands. Am i correct in saying my body is reacting by trying to fight off an infection? Or some kind of immunity?

Thanks.
