Have Swollen Flap Of Skin Which Hurts When I Move My Tongue. What Are The Upcoming Risk?

I have this flap of skin which I believe used to be a salivary gland and had gotten swollen but I'm not entirely sure. The flap of skin is pretty big and somewhat triangular in shape. It randomly swelled I didn't eat anything different or bite it. It only hurts if I move it with my tongue. Help? Also is this minor and will go away in a few days or get worse.

Hello,

Since you do not have h/o traumatic bite or injury, the swollen flap may be the result of aphthous stomatitis.

Vitamin b complex as well as folic acid and iron supplements has to be administered.

Corticosteroids has to be administered.

Plenty of fruits as well as vegetables has to be administered.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

Avoid spicy,allergic food items.

Take care.
