Have Swollen Sore Throat, Dry Noise. Had Headache, Body Ache And Fever. What Can This Be?

Yesterday around 4 p.m. started feeling ill, them two hours later had a horrible headache, body aches, chills, didn't take my temperature cause I don't have a thermometer but I'm pretty sure I had a high fever I also felt weak and my eyes felt heavy and hot, now I don't really have so symtoms but I have a sore throat and it is painful to swallow, and my nose is very dry as well. What can this be?

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone through your query regarding sudden bodyache, fever with chills and rigor, body ache and sore throat.

According to your symptoms you are having acute respiratory tract infection with fever.But one should rule out malarial fever as well by blood smear examination. You are advice to take-

(a) Antibiotic- Preferably broad spectrum.

(b) Tab Paracetamol (500 mg).

(c) Decongestant.

(d) Warm saline gargling.
