Have Systemic Lupus. Having Stabbing Pain In Chest. Everything Normal. What Can Be Done?
I have systemic lupus, I have had it for 7 years but have been diagnosed for only 2, since the joint pain started 7 years ago I have also had stabbing pains in my chest over my heart area, I can go 6 months with this not happening but when it does it last 1-2 weeks at a time for about 5-10 mins a day, I have been taking into hospital on a number of occasions with the chest pains but everything comes back normal, I tell my rheumatologist who doesn't seem to care and doesn't really tell me a great deal about anything, so I don't know if its lupus related or what to do about it.
Generally, the signs and symptoms of lupus will depend on which body systems are affected by the disease. The most common signs and symptoms include: Fatigue and fever, Joint pain, stiffness and swelling, Butterfly-shaped rash on the face, Skin lesions that appear or worsen with sun exposure, Shortness of breath, Chest pain, Dry eyes,Headaches, confusion, memory loss etc.
As your cardiac evaluation is normal, the chest pain you are experiencing could be attributed to Lupus.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
