Have Taken Thyroid Medicine Irregularly. Done Thyroid Tests. Can Online Doctor Help?
SIR,I HAD BEEN ON IRREGULAR MEDICATION FOR THYROID TREATMENT TILL LAST YEAR.
FOR THE PAST ONE YEAR I AM TAKING THYRONORM 100MG REGULARLY AS ADVISED BY MY
DOCTOR. (AT THAT TIME MY TSH WAS 11 u/U).NOW I TESTED ONCE AGAIN AND MY T3 IS 102.6;
T4 IS 6.30; AND TSH IS 6.20 u/U.(normal range is 0.35-5.50). SHOULD I DECREASE THE THYRONORM DOSAGE FROM 100 mg.
please advise.

NO,continue 100 mg till TSH comes under 3.0.Also get periodical check up, once in 3 months with endocrinologist. When ever you post report on this forum always copy full report. Normally report says about total T3 T4 And free T3 T4, TSh levels.Also keep a watch on yourr neck selling and associated symptoms if any
