Have Tobacco And Alcohol Addiction. Pain Below The Heart. Need Help In Deaddiction

hi I am 30 yrs old i started with khaini (tobacco leave with lime ) when i was in class 6th later to leave this i started gutkha & now i drink alcohol daily , gutkha daily but I have reduced the intake of khaini but still takes it ....tried to quit many times but dont know my will power is gone ....& also my body doesnt feel stronger & healthy ....pls suggest as I feel a slight pain just below the heart above the stomach left side.

You seem to have become addicted to tobacco (in some form) as well as alcohol. You also seem to have developed adverse health consequences due to these habits.

It is good that you have taken the initiative to seek help. There are several forms of help available to deal with your addiction problems. However, your motivation and efforts are important to achieve success. There are counselling techniques like Motivational Enhancement Therapy which can help improve your motivation and quit. There are also relapse prevention strategies which you can be taught to prevent going back to these substances. Medication may also be required to treat the withdrawal symptoms, medical complications as well as reuce craving. So, please consult a psychiatrist in your place for a detailed evaluation and further treatment.
