Have Vertigo, Dizziness, Sinus Infection. Will It Get Better?

I have had ongoing vertigo for about 4 weeks now. Any ideas of the cause? I usually only get dizziness with sinus infections or occasionally with viral illnesses, but never lasts more than one week and is not as severe. My PCP wants me to go to a Neurologist. He says it is not a sinus infection. Do you think this is necessary, or should it resolve on its own?

Hi,
You have not mentioned your age.
If you are elderly then possibility of having otosclerosis where 3 small bones in the ears fused causing this problem.
Even impacted wax in ear can cause this problem.
Consult ENT and get examined.
Ok and take care.
