Have Weakness, Trouble Breathing, Constipation And Lack Of Thirst. Advice?
my girlfriend started getting sick about 5 years ago, doctors couldnt figure out why. when i met her she explaind that she developed trouble breathing , weak heart, fatigue . She experiances areas of times when she is fine and others when she is sick. when she is sick, she experiances lack of thirst, extream weakness, blindness , constipation . her body does not digest very many food substances. she says that she never feels her heart beat unless running. cannot walk up stairs normally. excesivly tired. she is 21 year old korean and spent 8 months in alberta canada.
She is getting sick for last 5 year and is on treatment on and off. She is having a lot of symptoms of multiple systems as difficulty in breathing, palpitations, easy fatiguability, constipation, blindness (?) and indigestion. I am not sure whether she has undergone proper investigations or not. If not get her complete hemogram done, anaemia may be a presenting illness, her Kidney Function Tests and Liver Function Tests should be done. As per my opinion the tests will come negative.
Then we can think of possibility of Somatization Disorder, it is a neuropsychiatric disorder that is characterized by multiple somatic complaints with all major investigations normal. Along with the complaints mood symptoms as low mood, irritability may be seen.
There are a lot of causes of this symptomatology as poor adjustment to new situations, some underlying conflict are main.
As per my opinion kindly visit a good psychiatrist and take opinion.
Hope I cleared your doubt.
Take Care
