Hi, it appearsw to be the upper respiratory infection, involving the nose, pharynx, etc. There will be a projection at the posterior end of the soft palate, called uvula. which if enlarges may cause dry cough. And the smell could be due to the foul smelling discharge of the nose and throat. So i advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
