Having Bruising On Thighs. Cause? Should I See A Hematologist?

I just went to a doctor to have blood work done for unexplained bruising on my thighs. Everything came back normal...she checked for liver function, anything serious she could think of that might cause bruising. Otherwise I am incredibly healthy, but I know this painful bruising isn't normal. When they stuck me to take my blood, I developed a bruise right away, that now a week later is still there. How should I proceed to keep trying to find out what is going on? Should I see a hematologist? Any ideas on what else to check for or what specialist to see?

Hi ,
Thanks for writing in.
Recrrent bruising is not normal phenomenon.
A detailed blood work up with platelet count and clotting factor study would be needed for diagnosis.A haematologist should be consulted for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this helps.
