Having Headache, cramps And Irregular Periods After Taking Birth Control Pills
I have been on the same birthcontrol for about 6 years now. About 3 months ago my doctor told me to stop taking the placebo/non hormone pills at the end of my pack, to help prevent my headaches. Ever sense then I have had a lot of irregular bleeding . I know it takes time for you body to adjust but how long should that take? Lately I have been getting a "period" once a week. It's just brown discharge not enough to even wear any kind of feminine products, and I get really crampy. My hips and back have been achy a lot to around this time. And currently to go alog with these symptoms I have had a really bad headache that not even my Imitrex has been able to stop. This is the second day of this headache. It hurts so bad my ear aches. I don't understand all of this, is it really just waiting for my body to regulate to the new way I'm taking my pills or are my pills not strong enough?
For investigations of irregular menstruations, you may be asked for hormonal work up like FSH, LH, Oestrogen, Progesterone, Prolactin, etc. Before hormonal check up, you will be examined internally to find any organic disease like infection or cyst-Ultrasonography also will reveal a good amount of information regarding your internal organs (and even pregnancy also). Avoid stress, take a healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
