Having Irregular Menstrual Cycle After Taking Depo Shot. Common Side Effect?

Hey Im a first user of the depo shot, my first shot was aug 16 which later I started my cycle then it stopped 3 days later well last month round the 12 I started my cycle then it n left in a few days then arrived again but brown blood and it still is happening it hasn't gone away been over a month now just wondering if that is common or a side of effect or if something could be wrong with me

Yes, depo shot can cause menstrual irregularities.
It can present with intermenstrual spotting, irregular cycles etc.
This can occur due to hormonal fluctuation.
Because of inequality in release of hormonal levels this can happen sometimes.
Usually these symptoms may subside soon.
It may take few months for the regularization of the hormonal levels.
If the spotting persists or increases, you consult gynecologist and take tablets to control the spotting.
If the irregularity continues in future also, you may choose some other method of contraception.

Yes, one of the most common side effects of the depo shot is menstrual irregularities. Please speak to your doctor regarding the same and find a solution thay suits your body the best.

Options include either the initiation of medication that helps regularize your cycle, change from depo shot yo another or learn to live with the irregular cycle as long as you are on the shot.
