Having Mumps In Inguinal Region. Is It Viral Epidydimitis And Can This Be Curable ?

My husband is 27 years old, he had mumps and within 7 days he had severe pain in his inguinal region. Doctors said it was epididymitis and since last 15 days he is in antibiotics . But he still has mild pain. Is he having viral epidydimitis and is it curable? What are its side effects? Please advise what is the correct line of treatment?

it is due to viral infection
extent of damage can be view by sonography .
there is no specific medicine for it
only symptomatic treatment required
there will be no major side effects ,so dont worry
it will subside itself

the infection if there is no secondery infection is self limiting
the condition takes time to resolve and gradually it will subside be under treatment and
follow advice
