Having Pain In Left Labia, Becoming Worse, No Swelling Or Redness.

About 1 week ago i started having pain in my left labia which has progressively become worse when i walk or turn over in bed and is exacerbated by running/exercise. It feels a bit like a stitch type pain and I sometimes wonder if it goes towards my rectum and lower back, but predominantly the front in my labia and only the left side. There is no swelling or redness at all and it is not sore to touch

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

You might be having blockage of ducts or slight infection of the Bartholin's gland or Skenes gland which open in the inner part of labia. It can cause pain and discomfort. You must consult your gynecologist and get yourself examined. In early stages, infections may not show swelling and redness. After examining you, your doctor will confirm the diagnosis and give you medications if necessary. It is advisable to clean your genital area with warm water twice a day and keep it dry.

Exacerbation by running or exercise may be due to friction.

Hope this helps
