Having Painful, Red, Swollen Bump Close To Vagina. Tried Ibuprofen. What It Might Be?

i have the painful swollen bump on my side close to my vagina and i am not sure what it might be. It gets worse with movement. I have tried ibuprofen and heat and ice. It is red in color and swollen. Can you think of what it might be? It also hurts to touch. Started out as a pimple/ infected hair and now is just a swollen painful bump.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on health care magic.
Your symptoms suggest it could be a bartholin's cyst.
If infected it becomes bartholin's abscess.
Only treatment is surgical removal and marsupialization.
Antibiotics for infection cover.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Dr Nilofer
