Having Prolonged Periods And Smelly. Had Contraceptive Implant. Bleeding Afer Sex. What To Do?

hi doctor, i have had the contraceptive implant for 11 months now and for some months now i have been having prolonged periods and its really smelly and disgusting. since my last period last month i have been spotting till date, also bleed slightly after sex and its watery and smelly too. gone for sti tests but results came negative, been to the doctors but he said it might be the implant. do i take it out or what do i take to get everything cleared. its really embarrassing.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should consult a gynaecologist and get your examination and test done because you are having infection it may be because of implant also if it is so you should go for implant removal and take antibiotics treatment with your gynaecologist opinion.
