Having Severe Chest Pain, Sinus Tachycardia. Echo Showed Mitral Valve Prolapse With Regurgitation. Suggest?
My 18 yr old daughter was recently diagnosed with POTS. In August her Echo was fine. Just had another done due to severe symptoms chest pain act & now heat monitor said she has sinus tachyardia, Echo showed mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation & thicking of the tricuspid. How does this happen so quickly from august til Feb.
Sinus tachycardia is more likely related to POTS.
Mitral Valve Prolapse is usually from birth / when small, it could have been easily missed.
She may not anything for the present - except follow up.
She will need Infective Endocarditis Prophylaxis...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
