Having Severe Stomach Pain Before And After Food. Diabetic. On Metformin. Cause, Precaution, Other Remedies?

I have been having severe stomach pain, sometimes right after eating and sometimes a few hours after i eat, the pain is so severe that it makes me bend over and cry, i have been diagnosed with diabetes and am taking metformin 500mg twice a day. i started the metformin about 1 month ago, but pains started about 1 week ago and happen 1 or 2 times a day.

Newly diagnosed diabetics an don Metformin.
This is perhaps the safest drug without any side effects in diabetic patient.
So be sure that this is not the cause of stomach pain.
Tension,
fried food ,
spiced food,
over eating,
smoking,
alcohol use,
anxiety,
hectic hurried life style,
Above mentioned are the few reasons which may be responsible for your stomach pain.
Since according to your query it is just form 7 days ,so probable cause may be Hyper acidity ( gastritis).
Consult a physician and get treatment.
Within a short period ,you will be fine.
NOTE one thing, never be careless about diabetes which root cause of so many diseases ,if not regulated.
