Having Spots On Stomach. Taken Antibiotics. Diagnosed With Scabies. Guide
My husband has "ringworm" type spot on stomach that will not go away.... he has a rash that started at goin and legs. Now is spreading to arms and lower legs.He has been on several antibiotics in the pas few months for pneumonia then c-diff... He was diagnosed with scabies but not sure how he would have gotten that, I am symptom free as it seems. We both have used the cream twice now and I have washed the clothes and bed clothes in hot water and dried them in hot water. I am not certain this is really scabies... looks like pimples well now scabs everwhere. I can not see burrows but he does have bites/spots on both hands
Hi thanks for writing here.Your husband seems to be having post scabitic pruritus .Sometimes rash and itching persists even after applying antiscabitic cream. It is a type of allergic pattern to dead mites. It will persist up to 3 months.Start applying a steroid antibiotic combination like fucibet over affected area.Use antibacterial soap.Give him tab.atarax at night. If not relived then you can give him a short course of oral steroids under the guidance of a dermatologist.Take care.
