Having Swelling On Head. Having Pain And Headache. Should I Be Worried?

After drinking a large amount of alcohol last night, I fell and hit my head on the concrete. It left a large goose egg, but swelling has decreased dramatically since last night. Today I have a small headache and pain in the area that I hit, but where I hit it there is a soft, flat spot. It is noticeably softer than the rest of my head. Should I be worried?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns and you worries are valid. You seem to have a problem with alcohol and have abused it at least in the recent past. You passed out and had an episode of blackout, which are all indicative of alcohol dependence, although I do not have an entire alcohol consumption history to make that diagnosis. I would like for you to get a CT scan to make sure there is nothing going on in your head that needs medical attention. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
