Your child is having dizziness and headache due to low red blood cell count. We call it anemia, red blood cells are responsible for oxygen circulation to all organs of the body including your brain. With low red cell volume, there will be decreased oxygen level in all the body organs. Low oxygen reaching the brain manifests as dizziness and sometimes headache. Microcytic, hypochromic red blood cells are usually due to iron defeciency. Iron would correct this problem although it might take longer than 10 days. Feel free to send your follow up laboratory result. Thank you.
