Headache, Fever, Chills, Sore Throat, Cough, Swollen Glands, Red Patches In Throat, Blisters, Itching. Is It Strep Throat?

Hi I'm Jessica I went in to the hospital last night and got tested for strep throat, they said they were doing two tests one that takes 20 min and one that took 48 hours. The 20 min one was negative but haven't heard back on the other one. I have headache, fever, chills, sore throat, cough, swollen glands, white and red patches on the back of my throat. I also threw up yesterday morning and have felt sick to my stomach. I now have sores all over my nose that have clear liquid come out, they itch and hurt. and I have a weird blister on my left hand and foot that hurt and itch very badly..

Yes it cab be very well a strep throat however the tests done are not 100 percent sensitive. Also the complaints that you have can be because of strep infection
Start tablet ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 7 days.
Along with that use chlorhexidine 2% mouthwash and gargle with warm water 3 times daily.
Sometimes these complaints can be also because of herpes infection and that will require treatment with acyclovir 800 mg 5 times daily for 5 days. But I'll ask you to hold on for 2-3 days and then review an ent doctor
