thanks for writing to HCM!
I have gone through the question and it says that you have
headaches on right side of head above eye form past 9 years, about once per week, and treatment had not helped much.
From my clinical experience I can tell that they appear to be migraneous headaches, and is not a serious condition at all!
They usually occurring in half head, or forehead, many times patient feels that eyes are also aching and appear to bulge. The headaches are usually severe and cause difficulty in working. they may last for some hours to whole day till one takes treatment. there are several precipitating and relieving factors, you can tell yours and avoid them.
If you are too much concerned, you may get an
MRI brain done to rule out any major cause.
however, I feel that as you are having them regularly and it is increasing infrequency, you should try
dosulepin 25-150mg daily along with a pain killer as and when required. I have found this combination working in almost all such cases. It will be better if you take treatment for some months. With this I have seen patients getting complete relief in such headaches and are able to stop medicines safely.
Hope the answer helps you in getting rid off the headaches
