Headache, Swollen Eye, Ear Pain, Pain Subsides In Dark

hi My neice is suffering from sever headaches for the last couple of years. She is 22 now.she describes it as a pulsating pain on the right side of her head , the right eye gets swollen /puffy during this episode and the pain spreads to the right ear nad then down the jaw to the neck. It lasts for around 2-3 hours and she is forced to sleep in a dark room and allow it to subside. She has been prescribed Disprin (soluble aspirin ) but has not been asked to do any tests etc. Can she get some help. She is based in bangalore and would like to know who to consult.

Hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum. how did she neglect such a headache so long without diagnosis. one should not neglect solong. it could be due to tension, indigestion , constipation, sinusitis, migrine, hypertension etc
what ever the reason may be pain manage ment is the 1st thing to be taken care of. 2nd thing anxiety to be taken care of. i advise you to consult a physian for diagnosis. you may have to undergo tests like CTScan , DC, ESR, etc for confermation. in such city head ache clinics also are there.
wishing her a quick recovery.
