Hello and thanks for the query
Heart Palpitations are quite common in 50% of cardiac patients. These occur due to problem in conduction system of the heart although Coronary arteries are normal. The reason is unknown.
Treatment include both oral and surgical methods. In oral medication you can take either beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers or both. other procedure you can go for is electrical cardioversion. It is choice of treatment when medication is not effective.
These palpitations are not life threatening unless you have other heart problem. But it may hurt you when you are driving, swimming etc. So start your medication and get rid from it.
Best Wishes
