Hi Iam AAAA, the question is my father how is 80 years old Heart patient fall down in the bathroom and had a fracture in his 3rd last virtibra soo to get relief pain he is taking painkillers like Tramaul and ternilin and due to this he is saying the problem of mouth dryness , the mouth is so dry that he cant even take his food in. Dear Sir/ madam Thanks for your query to us. Both these drugs tramodol and tinazidine are known to cause dryness of mouth in 3-10% of patients depending upon duration of use. If you are giving both the drugs, chances are even higher, especially in old age. Best way out is to discuss it out with your physician and get alternate medicines. There are artificial agents which can maintain wetness of mouth and can get them prescribed from dermatologists. Sincerely Sukhvinder
