Heaviness In Head, headache. Cataract Surgery. Suggested 1.0 Spectacles. Causes And Treatment?
My Father feels heaviness in his head with headache too after his cataract surgery. His vision is good after surgery. He had his left eye surgery on 16 Feb afternoon. Till next day of operation, he had blurred/white vision. By about 3-4 days, he started to develop good vision and within 15-20 days of operation he could see properly, though doctor suggested him a 1.0 spectacles as per his eye vision check. He got his spectacles by about 3-4 week of operation. HOWEVER, since when has started wearing spectacles, he is complaining heavy head and sometimes headache too. He also says that he feels good when wearing spectacles but when he removes it, he feels more heavy head and headache.
We visited doctor today and he says there is no problem with his left eye where cataract surgery was done.
Normally after cataract extraction, one needs more then +2 D spherical lens in the operated eye for the near vision in addition to the distance correction. So, it appears that your father's glasses are not adequate. You should go for a refraction again and change the glasses which should help him.
In addition, you can use some lubricating eye drops.
