Heavy Bleeding During Periods. Taking Primolut N, Anti-clotting Medication. Dosage Of Medication?
Hello Doctor, Today I was prescribed 10mg of Primolut twice daily to cease heavy bleeding which was unexplained. I had also been taking an anito-clotting medication whilst in hospital. I have a specialist appointment in 6 weeks. Do I take the Primolut for 22 days and then allow myself to have a normal period or should I remain on the Primolut for the 6 weeks until I see the specialist? Thanks in advance.
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic. You should take that for 22 days in prescribed doses and let your period come and then again start it from 5th day of next cycle. If possible get a pelvic ultrasound and hormone assays viz Thyroid function tests and Prolactin levels to see for the cause of this altered pattern of periods In case you have further questions you can consult me on health care magic forum and i will be happy to help Take care and wish you all the best.
