Heavy Bleeding Since Last Year. D & C Done And Merina Coil Inserted. Spotting While Passing Urine. Advice?
i am 50 years old...past 1 year onwards i have heavy bleeding and once in 20 days,,,my gynec asked me to get a D n C done and fix a merina coil which i have done on the 17th of july,,,but from then onwards i m having spotting and a little bleeding when im passing urine....i was said that the body to get used to merina coil would take 4 to 6 weeks....pls advice
Irregular bleeding and spotting are very common problems with mirena coil. Usually, they subside with time but if they are not settling then you can try hemostatics like tranexemic acid for bleeding control. If still your problem persist then you can discuss with your doctor about additional hormonal support for few days. This will relieve your problem.

Hello, Mirena does take a few weeks to adjust to the body.Since its a hormone,the body takes some time to process it.Right now the bleeding is more like spotting and it normal breakthrough bleeding until the hormone levels are normalised. Eventually the bleeding will stop.Dont worry yet.
