Heavy Bleeding With Bright Red Blood, Pain In Lower Left Side And Back. Had Ovarian Cyst Removed. Suggestions?

Hi,

For the past 8 days i've been bleeding very heavily and its bright red blood. Prior to that i had 5 days of brown discharge. All of which is very unusual for me. However, now i'm in a lot of pain in my lower left side and back.

In December I had an ovarian cyst removed, could there be another causing this?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

The possibilities for your bleeding are:
-hormonal imbalance
-Structural causes like fibroids, polyps etc.
-ovarian cyst can present with pain abdomen but that may not lead to severe bleeding.
So you once consult gynecologist. take tablets to control the bleeding.
And get examined, go for ultrasound to find out the cause for the bleeding and take treatment accordingly.
