Heavy Nose Bleeds. Why Have They Become More Frequent? Cause And Treatment?

My 9 year old son has frequent nose bleeds . Sometimes 3 or 4 a week and they are fairly heavy, sometimes soaking a paper towel. He has no other health problems. He has always had infrequent nose bleeds but over the course of the last few months they have become more frequent. I am concerned about the possible cause and treatment

Hi, Tharpot,
Thanks for query.
It is possible that there might be nasal congestion giving rise to bleeding.
Put some nasal decongestant nasal drops like Otrivin or Nasivion nasal drops in the nose.
Do not allow him to touch his nose frequently.
Give him vitamin C tablet.
Go for blood for bleeding time and clotting time.
If any thing wrong in reports then consult your doctor.
Ok and bye.
