Hello Dr. I Have A Question Regarding Brain Cancer. I

Hello Dr.

I have a question regarding brain cancer. I have a cousin that lives in South America and has been extremely ill for about two weeks (lying practically on her deathbed) due to the illness. She doesn't speak, doesn't eat (except a few bites here and there, sleeps 90% of the day, only moves one thumb which shes uses to acknowledge your presence and has no control over her bowel movements (she is consistently changed by her mother and from what I have been told her vaginal area is covered in black sores.) She is also going to have a feeding tube put in her through one of the veins on her body because she doesn't have any left on her arms (from what I have been told.)

At this point, I don't understand how she is still alive. Will this disease eventually kill her or could she be in this devastating state for a long time? Your input would be much appreciated.
