Hello, I Just Had A Question Regarding A Problem I've

Hello, I just had a question regarding a problem I've been dealing with for a few years. I have a near constant gagging feeling in my throat that suddenly appeared a few years ago and hasn't left. I'm on an anti anxiety med and flonase which help a little, but could it be something to do with my thyroid?
It tends to worsen when I lay on my side, and I've only gagged once from it.
