I was just hosptialized for the wrong thing.( I had Salmonella food poisoning per my GI doctor who I saw after out of the hosptial.)I was placed on a Cipro and Metrondazle from the ER susbitute and had a temendous adverse reaction. Then came back to ther ER with high temp Bright red rash with purple center staring on lower legs spreading up legs into feet onto adbomen and upper lateral unders bilatera. 4plus edema, pitty huge, unable to see ankle bones...elephant legs. Then put on IV steriods to tapering high doses of prednisone. I am trying to find out the chemical combination differences as I have been on both these drugs years ago. Obvisouly there is something in the generics that did this.
