So, I recently used a prescription acne treatment. The topical acne treatment was called Retin A microgel. I must admit that I used a lot more than the recommended dose, which was stupid.

The next day, on the corner of my mouth, my skin started to burn and it was inflamed. It looked like there were a few blisters, but I can't be sure. I squeezed the area (similar to popping a pimple) and applied vaseline...overnight it crusted over.

The question I have is does this sound more like a cold sore? Thank you
