Hello! A Question About Hemorrhoids. I've Had One On The

Hello! a question about hemorrhoids. I've had one on the left side of my anus for many years. About 5 weeks ago it flared up for the first time in two years. Bright red blood on the toilet paper was the first indication. A subsequent bowel movement had blood pooled in the water. Then it went away. in the past five weeks it has returned twice more most recently the day before yesterday (right after a long road trip by car).

I think this recent flare up is a result of two things: prolonged sitting (too many video games, long periods of driving or riding a motorbike) and possible stretching exercises that stress and put pressure on the affected area inside the anus.

What concerns me is the following: There is no longer blood on the toilet paper but the stool seems to have a reddish tint/stain and the water turns reddish when the stool is broken up. This has been a little worrisome so can you shed some light on this?

The bowel movement itself is painless but five minutes or so afterwards there is a distinct sensation of irritation in the area where the affected area is. I live in SE Asia so ride a motor scooter quite often. Yesterday it was definitely uncomfortable when riding. When I apply hemorrhoid ointment as I did last night there is a short period of itching after ten minutes or so which I hope is a sign of healing.

I'm pretty sure that the current condition is the same one that resulted in the obvious red blood stain on the tissue paper when this started five weeks ago. Is there anything I can do re medication beyond what I'm doing now (using a hemorrhoid ointment with applicator)?
Finally the stool itself is a normal colour except for the reddish tint, there is no black tarry colouring and again after the bowel movement there is a distinct irritating sensation in the affected area.
