Hello, At The Age Of 6 It Was Discovered That

Hello, at the age of 6 it was discovered that I had poor vision in my left eye. I can see colors but cannot see things clearly. They seem to be scattered. If I see a person, I can see the figure but cannot tell who I have seen if I just met that person for the first time. I can tell who the people I know are. My eyes have remained like that till today. I am 20 now. Even the glasses I was given at the hospital did not help me see clearly they just made this brighter and better. Please what could this be.
