Hello, My Daughter Just Had T Tubes Put In Her

Hello, my daughter just had T tubes put in her ears today. I was advised to put cotton balls with vaseline on them to protect her ears from water when she bathes. I tried that tonight, but it doesnt look like it will keep her ear dry. I am waiting on custom made ear plugs to be made at our next appointment. My question is, is it even neccessary to wear them, as long as she doesnt submerge her head under water? I was told to use fresh water out of the faucet when I rinse her head, due to the bacteria in the tub water. She is on ciprodex ear drops, 3 drops, 3 times a day.
