Hello Sit, My Grandfather Is Suffering From Hyperkalemia With Potassium

Hello sit, my grandfather is suffering from hyperkalemia with potassium levels more than 6. He is also an heart patient and diabetic too. He faced some seizures last month and doctor advised to have valprol cr-500. Please advise is it safe to have that for about a period of six months. We are currently concerned about the rising potassium levels in the blood.
