Hey there. I'm on my second week of testosterone injections (intramuscular, through the thigh). I had received new needles from the pharmacy and had not received clear instructions on which needles to use- I had assumed I was supposed to use the newer needles, which were larger. (The new ones were 18 gauge, while the older ones were 23 gauge.) I attempted to inject my testosterone once with the large needle but could not get the needle all the way into my thigh, so I pulled it out and used a different injection site, where I could get the needle to go in all the way. After actually injecting the testosterone, I pulled the needle back out and the testosterone pooled back out from the injection site. I panicked and sucked up as much of the testosterone that had pooled on my leg as I could (about .1 of my .25ml dose), wiped my leg off, drew the rest of my .25ml dose from the vial with that same needle, swapped to the smaller needle, and did my injection with the small needle. I wasn't thinking clearly when I was trying to figure out what to do, and now I'm worried about injecting the testosterone that pooled on my leg back into my muscle, as well as putting that large needle (that had been in my leg) back into the vial when I was drawing up the rest of the testosterone. Should I be worried? Will I be ok?
